Blogs
If the title didn’t give it away, this blog is written buy two guys who travel around the world. It began with one goal: travel for a year to 17 different countries on $10,000. The website is well organized and very thorough.
There journey has ended, but there is still a lot of updating needed, so keep an eye on it. They have loads of interesting pictures and videos in addition to their blog entries. It’s well worth a read.
Andy Graham is a self described hobo who has been traveling 11 years through 85 countries. “A Hobo travels to work. A tramp travels and won’t work. A bum neither travels or works.”
Though his website can be a bit messy, the frequent posting and high quality pictures make this one of the better travel blogs to subscribe to. He frequently asks people to suggest and vote for the next place he’ll travel to, which has resulted in very unique locations.
If nothing else, this man takes some great pictures. I highly recommend this blog.
Somehow Michael Burm has traveled to almost my entire top ten “Places That I Want To Visit,” including the obscure Pitcairn Islands, which is one of the most difficult places to get to in the world for a traveler. This is my personal favorite travel blog on the internet based on the diversity of places he’s visited alone, but the stunning photography and frequent blog updates should prompt almost anyone to subscribe to it.
I have no idea where he’ll go next, but I can’t wait to find out.

Elyse Sewell may be best known for coming in third on the first season of America’s Next Top Model, but she is also equipped with magical travel blogging powers. It’s a good thing she chose a career that sends her all over the world or we may have been deprived of this fantastic travel blog.
In recent time her public posts have become far less frequent. However, her older posts are always good for a laugh and for those of you wanting more, signing up to LiveJournal is free and easy. Who knows, maybe you’ll be inspired to start your own travel blog?
Lisa Lubin is doing exactly what I would do if I made more money. After a whirlwind tour of Europe she became inflicted with the travel bug and has traveled abroad every year since, including a “year” long trip around the world.
Her website is well organized and even though her round the world journey is over, she still travels quite a bit. She still have 78% of the world to see, after all. Someday she’ll see it all.
Yes, these are my own travel blogs, but I’m proud of them. I’ve done a lot of trips in my life, but these two have been documented in detail by me and my travel partner (and site administrator and boyfriend) Joshua.
We also took many pictures that you can view in our travellerspoint gallery and flickr account. Our blogs are linked with the blog here at TravelPlanning101, so subscribe in any way you wish.
This blog aggregator is sponsored by TravellersPoint, which has it’s own array of travel blogs (mine included). Its’ featured travel blog section includes many of the best that the internet has to offer.
